I get it! As a mental health provider, you're feeling a righteous indignation about the de-prioritization of DEI in clinical care. You're frustrated, shocked, but also not surprised by how these systems continue to remind us they will not save us and our communities. AND, I also see your unabashed commitment and re-invigoration to center DEI at all costs.

You've found your safe and restorative learning community. Join me for my upcoming CE where you'll learn how to purposefully center Black women in your effective application of DBT.

NWS Wellness and Consulting LLC was founded by Dr. Natalie Watson-Singleton, a licensed clinical psychologist in Georgia. Dr. Natalie has worked in hospitals, college counseling centers, and community mental health clinics with clients from diverse backgrounds. She values providing evidence-based care, and she especially enjoys using interventions, like Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Mindfulness Skills Training (MST), and Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT). Overall, she is passionate about integrating her clinical expertise with clientsโ€™ needs to promote well-being. Her specialty includes working with adults who experience depression and anxiety, identity-related concerns, and life transitions.

In addition to her private practice, Dr. Natalie is the Diversity and Inclusion Education Director with the Nia Project at Emory University in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences as well as a psychology professor at Spelman College. As an academic and active researcher, she explores factors that contribute to risk or resilience for Black womenโ€™s health and the cultural relevance of mind-body strategies for Black people.
