The ARC has activities for neurodivergent adults? Check out their Xplore program!

The Xplore program is an adult, community-based, day program that empowers individuals with intellectual and developmental differences (IDD) to flourish personally, socially, and independently. By giving back to their community, receiving supportive coaching and training, and engaging in hands-on experiences, participants are able to enhance their overall quality of life and well-being. Committed to inclusivity, equity, and engagement, Xplore maximizes community inclusion and enriches the quality of life for its participants.

The program typically runs on a 12 week long, session schedule with 3 hour classes from 9AM-12PM and 1PM-4PM each day. Classes change each session to reflect different topics of interest for those who desire to be involved.

My 4 year old insisted that she needed to do “homework”. So I pulled out my Get Set for School Book from the Handwriting without tears collection. She is LOVING it!! Remember, when you are working on letter formation make sure your child is writing their vertical lines from top to bottom and horizontal lines from left or right. This also teaches them to read from left to right and we always read from the top to the bottom of the page.

Touch a Truck is back! Quiet time is from 9am to 11am!

Bring the kids and meet the vehicles and organizations moving Clay County forward.

Touch A Truck: What Moves Clay... comes to the Clay County Fairgrounds in Green Cove Springs on Saturday, September 28.

Visitors can see the vehicles up close during quiet time from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. and then watch them in action during the lights and sounds portion, from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

Jax Kids Aquatics is excited to announce we have received a grant from Step Into Swim, a nationwide initiative dedicated to creating safe swimmers. With this grant, we will be able to offer scholarships for adaptive swim lessons, to insure all children with disabilities will have the opportunity to learn how to swim safely and enjoy the water.
