Today is World Mental Health Day. 💙

Sending love to those who:
💙 Are working hard to stay sober, one day at a time
💙 Feel the weight of watching someone they love struggle
💙 Are showing up for therapy, even when it’s uncomfortable
💙 Are rebuilding trust, healing relationships, or starting over
💙 Feel shame or guilt but are learning to forgive themselves
💙 Are doing their best — even if it doesn’t look perfect

You’re not alone. Your healing matters, and you deserve support every step of the way. 🌿

🍂I’m learning to trust the process.

Recovery isn’t a straight line. Some days feel like steps forward, others like pauses. But even when you can’t see the progress, trust that healing is still happening underneath the surface.

🎃Progress doesn’t have to be perfect.

Let go of the idea that healing has to look a certain way. Showing up, trying again, resting, reflecting, it all counts. Progress is progress, no matter how small.

🍁Today, I choose peace over chaos.

Recovery is full of choices, big and small. Choosing peace might look like setting a boundary, walking away from an argument, or taking a deep breath before reacting. Every peaceful choice matters.

🪾I’m letting go so I can grow.

Just like the trees releasing their leaves, fall can be a time to let go of what no longer serves you — old habits, guilt, resentment — and make space for healing, connection, and growth. 🍁

Recovery isn’t a race to the end—it’s about finding a steady rhythm you can maintain. The turtle theory shows us that every small, slow step is still progress and worth celebrating. Just keep moving forward.

Want to take the month of October to be sober- here’s some tips to make it a little easier!

🎃 Identify your why: get clear in your motivation and write it down, put it on notes around your house or car to remind you why you are doing this.

👻 Stack your toolbox: create a list of rituals you can turn to when you have a craving- going for a walk, doing something creative or anything that’s a positive distraction. Also make a list of books or podcasts that help to keep you motivated!

🍁 Fine your people: support everything. Surround yourself with people who will do this with you. You don’t have to do this alone!

You can’t pour from an empty cup. 2️⃣ Connect with Others – Meaningful relationships provide support, comfort, and a sense of belonging. 3️⃣ Respect Your Boundaries – Honor your limits, and learn to say no when necessary.
