Elite Elixirs Presents: Tequila Tuesday!
Recommendation: El Tesoro Tequila - Reposado
Brand: El Tesoro de Don Felipe
Rating: B
ALC/VOL: 40% - 80 Proof
Tasting Notes: Agave, pepper, oak, vanilla, slight citrus, and cinnamon
Taster Notes: Sweet citrus with a spicy kick. This reposado was done really well; it reminds me of a good "sweet" bourbon. It can be paired well with steak or even lemon pepper wings. If you’re in the mood for a margarita, I would suggest the El Tesoro Blanco. If you’re interested in a Reposado Old Fashioned, this is an excellent option.

2 oz Dark Rum
3/4 oz Fresh Lime Juice
3/4 oz Fresh Pineapple Juice
1/2 oz Coconut Syrup
1/4 oz Grenadine

Combine all ingredients in cocktail shaker then fill with ice.

Shake! Shake! Shake Senora! (Sorry couldnt help it)

Strain into glass filled with ice. Garnish.

Classic Whiskey Sour in celebration of Whiskey Sour Day (2023).

2 oz bourbon
¾ oz fresh lemon juice
¾ oz Elite Elixir's simple syrup
Garnish: orange peel or wheel
Maraschino cherry (optional)

Combine bourbon, lemon juice, and simple syrup in a cocktail shaker then fill with ice.

Shake vigorously until outside of shaker is very cold, about 20 seconds.

Strain into an old-fashioned or rocks glass filled with ice. Garnish.

Checkout this classic fresh margarita recipe just in time for Tequila Day. This recipe bypasses the nonsense and get right to it using fresh ingredients.

To jazz it up you can place sugar, salt or even chile salt on the the rim. If you want to bring out more flavor, you can add a pinch of salt in the shaker with the rest of the ingredients.

Winemaker Notes: Black Girl Magic is more than a phrase. It’s a feeling. A look. A taste. Our Black Girl Magic collection is an ode to our culture and story, inspired by the magic and resilience of Black women, to be enjoyed by all.

This sophisticated dry Rosé has aromas of raspberry and orange blossom with delightful acidity and a mouthwatering fresh stone fruit and citrus palate

My Notes: Light, crisp, refreshing and very fruit forward but not too sweet. It has more of a dry finish. Great if you are trying to transition from Mosocto. This is hands down one of my favorite Rose`s - Top 5. I had it with some grilled pineapple that just took it to the next level.

Ensure it's the proper temperature. ($17+)

Winemaker Notes:
This is a sumptuous, lush, and full-bodied wine, with flavors of juicy blackberry, cassis and cherry fruit, smooth like milk chocolate, creamy like French vanilla all tied together with a toasty oak finish that is lingering.

This beauty fills all the requirements that a serious cab lover is looking for, while still remaining fun, approachable, and fun friendly.

My Notes: Absolutely delicious. Deep, dark, full, bold, yet playful on the palate. Well worth the price. Someone mentioned that it tastes like the poor man's Opus One, and I must agree.

This one is a keeper.

Pairings: Beef, Lamb, Game, Poultry, Mature and Hard Cheese ( I recommend Manchego)

With red wines, ensure it's the proper temperature, let it breathe first, or invest in a wine aerator ($15+)
