Who Hoo!! You made it! Sixteen (actually seventeen)miles in the books!! CONGRATULATIONS!!!! Thank you STT RESCUE for doing what you do best, keeping us safe, we are grateful. Thanks Mervin Hazell for keeping us hydrated. Thanks to Shani, Maggie, and Gigi for the food treats. Welcome Cherise to our sixteen mile walk. You made it to the finish line so we hope to see you again. I (Karen E. Hodge) wasn’t there this year and had a serious case of FOMO but I promise you I’ll be back. To our other teammates who missed out, they felt your support, cheering them on from wherever you are. Again, in my Nick Friday voice, Yuh Big Every Time!!!

The GHGH walk Group presented a donation to St. Thomas Rescue in appreciation for their awesome service they provided to us on our 16th mile walk on June 17, 2023. Thanks a million for making us feel safe. Your service to the community is impeccable!!

So we did it 16.78 miles!!!! Uphill, down hill, flats, curve, even through the showers of blessings. 👊🏽 kudos to our quest walkers Kevin Warrell, National Guard and Ible and friend!! You are welcome anytime, all the time. Special Thank You and Shout Out to the Rescue Squad, who escorted us, Orville Isaac, who brought up the rear, Courtney Meade and his wife Radiance who kept us hydrated, and Marisol and CeCe who prep up for a light snack at the beach. You guys were Awesome!!! To Sweet Back, Ducks Cole, and Mrs Fahie the “Plan B” support was Inspiring!! And Finally to the GHGH stalwarts, I Salute all of Us!! We winced, we grind, we blistered, we prayed, we cramp…and through it all we kept moving. We accepted the challenge and at the end basked in the exhilaration of our collective victory! Each of us believed in ourselves, stayed dedicated and Never quit. So in my Nick Friday voice “🗣️We Big, Everytime!”👍🏽❤️🥂💥
