We’re almost at the mid-January mark! 🤯 ⁣

How are you doing on your journey, sis? Let’s check-in & encourage each other 🩷⁣

I’ve lost about 35lbs since April 2025 and I’m in the final stretch to my goal! 🙌🏽 ⁣

About 8 pounds (or less) until I switch to a calorie maintenance! 👏🏽 😮‍💨 and I’m ready for it! ⁣

What are your wins so far? ⁣
What are you proud of yourself for sticking to this year? ⁣
How can you adjust? ⁣

Check-ins are very important for staying consistent. It gives you the opportunity to reflect, adjust, celebrate, or pivot! ✨⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣

These are the essentials I used for losing 35lbs in 8 months: ⁣
✔️ Dumbbells⁣
✔️ Food scale⁣
✔️ Reusable water bottle ⁣
✔️ Multivitamins ⁣
✔️ Walking pad ⁣
✔️ Protein powder (supplemental only!) ⁣

A few extras include my fitness watch and weighted vest! 🔥 ⁣

Nothing fancy. Just what actually helped me show up consistently. ⁣

If you ate more than you planned…
If you skipped workouts…
If you said you’d do better and didn’t…

Pause for a second.

Feeling bloated or “off” is not the same as gaining fat.
You didn’t undo your progress in a few days.

You don’t need guilt.
You don’t need punishment.
You don’t need to start over.

You just need to get back to the basics.

Drink some water.
Eat a nourishing meal.
Move your body a little.
Go to bed and try again tomorrow.

Grace first.
Consistency next.

Keep going 🤍

My emotions used to stand in the way of me seeing progress 😖⁣

If I didn’t 𝘧𝘦𝘦𝘭 like exercising, I wouldn’t. ⁣
If I didn’t have the mental energy to meal prep, I’d skip it. 🤷🏽‍♀️ ⁣

But this is what you call, ‘relying on motivation.’⁣

I know the emotions can be loud and strong, but you have to remember that if we give in to those momentary feelings 𝘢𝘭𝘭 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘵𝘪𝘮𝘦, we won’t get anywhere. 😬⁣

Here’s what I do to take action anyway, on the days I don’t feel like it: ⁣

⏰ 𝗜 𝘀𝗲𝘁 𝗮 𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗲𝗿 for a short amount of time while I meal prep (usually 15-20 minutes). Knowing I don’t have to do an activity for too long motivates me to take action. Most of the time I usually keep going with the task even after the timer is done. ⁣

🎵 𝗜 𝗽𝗹𝗮𝘆 𝗺𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗰 while I meal prep or listen to a podcast when I don’t feel like exercising. For some reason this makes the time more bearable 😅⁣

🪜𝗬𝗼𝘂 𝗰𝗮𝗻 𝗵𝗮𝗯𝗶𝘁 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗰𝗸 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝘁𝗮𝘀𝗸𝘀! Go on a walk walk while talking on the phone with a friend. If you have a walking pad, you can watch a tv show while you get some movement in! ⁣

One day you realize peace is louder than noise, consistency beats motivation, and protecting your energy matters more than proving a point.

I lost 30lbs at home in 6 months 🏡

And I didn’t do anything special.

No fat burners or super low calories needed. 🙌🏽

Here’s what I did:
✨I eat within a calorie deficit (www.calculator.net is helpful to figure out your deficit)
✨ At least 150g of protein daily to stay full between meals
✨ Lift weights 3-5 days to help maintain muscle and increase metabolism
✨ 10k steps per day

Don’t forget that perfection isn’t required.
There were many days I ate over my deficit and didn’t eat enough protein.

The key to seeing results is consistency!
