Dear Arris Customers, Partners & Friends,

We are happy to announce that Arris is reopening Monday, April 20, under the essential business classification within the State of Georgia’s guidelines.

While reopening, we will continue with our COVID-19 safety measures and precautions as before our two-week shutdown (as per all CDC recommendations at https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/community/guidance-business-response.html), and we will also be adding several additional requirements. The most notable of these requirements is for protective face masks to be worn by all employees at all times unless alone in an individual office or outside of our buildings.

Upon reopening, our priority is to resume taking care of our customers’ needs as quickly as possible and getting our production schedules back on track. After a two-week shutdown and a slight staff reduction, this may take us a little time, but rest assured we will work diligently to respond to deadlines.

We look forward to continuing to serve your signage and wayfinding needs…and we also look forward to seeing the other side of this crisis we’re all facing. In the meantime, we hope you and your families stay safe and healthy.

COVID-19 UPDATE, April 2

Dear Arris Customers, Partners & Friends,

To start, we continue to be free of any COVID-19 diagnosis within the entire Arris family. We feel very fortunate for that.

For several weeks, Arris, like thousands of small businesses around the world, has been trying to navigate these uncharted waters brought upon us by the COVID-19 pandemic. Relative to those in the travel, restaurant and hospitality industries, and certainly relative to the many first-responders, nurses and doctors on the front lines, our challenges have been minor.

Through it all, our primary concern has always been the health and safety of our families, employees and communities, and we have tried to balance that as best as possible with continuing to serve our customers’ needs as well.

As mentioned in a previous communication, a mandatory stay-at-home order was issued by the City of Atlanta last week, and stay-at-home order goes into effect tomorrow (April 3rd) for the entire State of Georgia. Although technically Arris has qualified for an exemption to the order (at least for the City of Atlanta) as an “essential business”, with the COVID-19 crisis escalating and the health of our employees, especially those in manufacturing roles, becoming more at risk, the question then becomes not whether we are granted an exemption but rather, what’s the right thing to do for our employees and their families. What’s the right thing for Arris to do to help lessen the spread and severity of this COVID-19 pandemic we’re all facing.

In light of the situation, effective Friday, April 3rd, Arris’ Manufacturing Operation and Administrative Operations will be CLOSED until at least Monday, April 20th. We will monitor emails and respond as best as we can to each one.

As you can imagine, a 2-week to 2-week+ shutdown is going to be inconvenient for many of us, and we apologize sincerely for any inconveniences this causes our customers. There will be challenges to manage the backlog and rescheduling of ship dates, but once we reopen, our #1 priority will be to expedite orders and do whatever is necessary as a company to get things back on track and take care of as many emergency orders as quickly as possible.

Thank you for your understanding. We will provide an update soon regarding our status. In the meantime, we hope you and your families stay safe and healthy.

Regards,
Arris

COVID-19 UPDATE FROM ARRIS

To Arris Customers & Friends,

These are unprecedented times for all of us right now, as we are having to make adjustments in the best interest of the health and safety of not only our employees and family members, but our communities as well.

At this time, there have been no COVID-19 cases within the Arris family and no recent visitors to Arris have been diagnosed with COVID-19, so we remain open. However, this could change quickly.

For the past several weeks, as a company we have been following all the steps recommended by the CDC, ramping them up as necessary. These measures have included a routine and thorough cleaning of as many commonly used surfaces as possible, strongly encouraging employees with any signs of illness to stay home, encouraging hand washing and proper mouth covering for sneezes/coughs, etc.

Today (3/16/20), we added several additional measures, including the following:
Canceling all in-house, in-person meetings when a minimum 6’ distance cannot be kept between all participants
Banning all non-essential visitors to Arris.
Ideally, it would be great if everyone at Arris could work from home the next month. However, being a manufacturing business, that is just not feasible unfortunately.

So long as the Arris family remains free of a COVID-19 diagnosis and there are not government mandates otherwise, we will remain open and operate as close to normally as possible.

We will undoubtedly begin to have more employees out of the office due to either school closures, coronavirus concerns, a family illness or all of the above. For that reason, there’s a chance we will begin to run behind schedule from a production standpoint.

There’s also a chance we could face a temporary company shutdown, and that shutdown could come on very short notice. A shutdown will be a huge blow to Arris, our employees and customers on many levels, so that is something we don’t want to see happen. However, it may be inevitable and in the best interest of everyone’s health and safety.

If a shutdown occurs, we will do our best to communicate to all of our customers. At the very least, we will post updates on our website as well as several social media outlets. We wanted to start by sending you this email as a heads-up of what might be coming.

We will do our very best to minimize disruptions to project schedules, but we ask for extra patience and understanding during these challenging and unprecedented times.

We will provide additional updates soon. In the meantime, we’re hoping you and your families remain safe and healthy.
