Nadim Ali LPC

He has been actively involved in educating individuals about the dangers of substance abuse, and has counseled both adolescents and adult patients. Ali has works in all facets of addiction treatment from detox to outpatient and aftercare and has trained counselors in the USA and in Saudi Arabia. In the two years that he spent in Saudi Arabia as the Director of the Chemical Dependency Unit he was able to establish the first counselor program in the history of Saudi Arabia for Arabic speaking counselors, and participated in the development of a training manual that is still in use in that country to help train recovering people to be counselors. Ali has presented to conferences in the U.S. and in the Middle East on the topics of Substance Abuse and Violence Prevention. He has also used alternative methods such as Tai Chi, the ancient Chinese slow motion exercise, as an intervention for the treatment of addiction and anger management. He is certified by the Tai Chi Health Society as an Instructor. Ali has a Bachelors degree in Communications from Shippensburg State University and a Master’s degree in counseling psychology from the Georgia School for Professional Psychology. He is also a Licensed Professional Counselor.
