I’ve been asked whyyyyy do you feel like the back needs to be trained so intensely. My answer is simple!!
The back is the 2nd largest muscle group in your body. However, it contains more muscles than any other body part!! 💯 40 muscles to be exact...facts!! So more muscles require more work!!😂
However, the main reason for us should be because a weak back makes room for a lot of problems down the line. I personally have had countless injuries throughout my entire body. Of these injuries, none have been as de-habilitating as a lower back injury. Totally took me down to the point of not being able to move at all for days!!
So while I try to stay well rounded in my training, I definitely kill all back workouts!!💯

True change happens over time and requires a few components to be in place for it to happen. Time, patience, CONSISTENCY ( not perfection) and work ethic!!💯
Transformation Tuesday shout out to who had all those things working for her on this journey she’s taken.
First picture on the left end July 2019 right before her vacation, when she told me that she was in the best shape of her life. Middle picture is June of 2020, (postpartum) after being cleared by doctor to workout. Third picture on right February 2021, after busting her ass for 9 months getting back to the place of comfort for her.
So, we have 3 different phases of her life and the transformation that came with it!! We trained together for approximately 6 months before the trip. There’s about 10-11 months between pics 1&2 , pictures 2&3 are a 8 month difference. Total transformation was almost 2 years!! Ohhhh don’t forget a baby is in the mix of this.
committed to the nutrition, training and cardio program. She stayed consistent throughout this journey and I’m quite sure today that she’s looking even better!💯

We have the ability to move what seems to be impossible to move. We have to dig deep within ourselves and make sacrifices so that we can ultimately achieve whatever it is that we desire. There’s always going to be obstacles for us to overcome but remember...... these are the times that we really must focus and drown out all the noise around us!! Tap into YOU, and lock in!! Then and only then can we do the things that seemed impossible to us. Never give up, we put our heads down, and keep our feet moving forward. When we look up, we’re going to be right where we want to be!!💯 HAPPY MONDAY!!! Let’s dig deep and get this week off to a great start! ̧ão

Change is a process not a event!! Ted has been working out for 30 plus years and in 13 weeks of consistency has made great progress!!
The process of change require a few components for you to appreciate the journey. These are a few of my pet peeves!!
1. Get COMFORTABLE being UNCOMFORTABLE. Remember, change is uncomfortable and in most cases, when you uncomfortable, it means some good things are happening so embrace it!!
2. Be CONSISTENT!! Most of us think we have to be perfect for us to get the results we want. Let’s be clear, PERFECTION doesn’t exist!!! CONSISTENCY OVER TIME is the key 🔑!!!
3. Be OPEN MINDED!! This doesn’t mean do everything someone tells you to do but..... be OPEN TO TRYING SOMETHING DIFFERENT, because the TRUTH Is if what you’ve been doing hasn’t been working, it’s possible you might want to try something different!!
4. Lastly, set realistic goals for yourself...in my experience as a Coach/ Trainer this is one of the ways that I’ve saw people defeat themselves. Unrealistic goals, become un-achievable goals and ultimately SELF DEFEATING GOALS!!
If you’re unsure about any of those things I said above, get with a fitness professional and let them get you on the way with your journey!!

Motivational Monday....... as We methodically go through our day and think about how tough things are, how bad our day is going and how we wish things were better, we tend to forget that things could be worse. I’m one that’s guilty of this from time to time. Then I run across videos like this one.
This is Lauren, a lil girl whom I worked with for a couple of years. She was 8 and has cerebral palsy. Prior to us beginning training, Lauren hadn’t ever taken steps on her own without the assistance of her walker. She’s grown and gotten much stronger. I learned so much from this little lady that’s made me a better trainer, and a better person.
No matter what obstacles we face it’s our mind set that’s going to either defeat us or give us the ability to conquer!! Ask Lauren ‼️ No excuses.........

I’ve been working with Elisha in some capacity since 2017.....which is a entirely post coming soon.😊 Just know that in the past 4 years she’s been on a fitness journey!!
I love these pictures because they not only show the amazing transformation but they represent a bigger picture......TIME!!
We’ve been doing check ins weekly, sometimes bi-weekly, for the past 7 months. After checking in regularly we see changes but they seem to become not as noticeable. It’s then that I like to go back and look at the ENTIRE PICTURE!!!
Start vs. Current state and that’s when you get the opportunity to see the entire body of work!!
When she saw this 7 month transformation, it was mind blowing to her for several reasons!!
1. Every since I’ve known her she’s talked about she wants to see her abs😂
2. The summer she got pregnant she thought she was in the best shape of her life!!💯
3. She was worried that giving birth the s second time around ruined her stomach.
Well..... I don’t think that’s the case at all💯🔥
These pictures tell more of a story, her story than can be imagined.
Struggle, Trust, Believing in herself even when she doubted herself, Consistency, Long suffering, Will Power, COMMITTMENT!!
