The Harms Of Ibuprofen & All NSAIDs Reside In Its Mode Of Action That Inhibits COX Enzymes:
Harmful To The Kidneys...COX Enzymes blocked by taking NSAIDs, causes acute renal damage by reducing Prostaglandin production which reduces blood flow to the kidneys. This leads to acute kidney injury (AKI), chronic kidney disease (CKD), edema, hypertension, hyperkalemia & nephrotic syndrome.
Harmful To The Stomach...On a systemic level, NSAID use compromises the gut barrier by reducing protective mucosal prostaglandins, increasing intestinal permeability & triggering inflammation.
