7 am - 8:15am Friday Dec 12th & 19th with replay available
Join us for a special two-part series exploring the transformative poses named after the ancient sages (Rishis). Drawing on the Pranakriya tradition of awareness, the practice is designed to help you cultivate inner balance, strength, and clarity—essential qualities for navigating the demands of the holidays.
Each 75-minute class is an opportunity to move beyond physical shape and use these powerful asanas as a laboratory for self-inquiry and energy management.
12/12 The Sage's Twist: Grounding & Introspection
Focus on the deep, seated twisting postures, including Marichyasana (Sage Marichi's Pose) and Bharadvajasana (Bharadvaja's Twist). This practice emphasizes detoxification, spinal mobility, and cultivating the inward focus (introspection) needed to find stillness and clarity before the holiday rush begins.
12/19 The Sage's Strength: Energy & Stability
Shift your focus to building vigor and centeredness through standing and balancing poses like Virabhadrasana (Warrior Poses) and Vasisthasana (Side Plank). This class will cultivate courage and equanimity, leaving you feeling stable and energized to meet the challenges of the season with grace.
Takeaway: Practical tools for applying the wisdom of the sages to manage stress, enhance vitality, and practice non-attachment during the busy season.
