We’re excited to share an award-winning new study that Kassandra Carrion, a Plastic Surgery Research Fellow at Stanford, co-authored and presented at the recent California Society of Plastic Surgeons (CSPS) Annual Meeting in Napa, CA.

The retrospective single center study compared patients who underwent a supercharged pedicle jejunum (SPJ) interposition flap for esophageal reconstruction with AMNIOFIX® (n=9) and without (n=37). AMNIOFIX was used as a protective barrier to support the healing cascade on esophagojejunal anastomoses in the surgeons’ practice.1*
