Maternal Roots Atlanta ~ Birth and Breastfeeding Services aims to provide education, support and encouragement to families in the Metro Atlanta area through breastfeeding classes, lactation consults, local breastfeeding groups, childbirth education and antepartum, birth and postpartum doula care. Our goal is to strengthen the family's confidence and ability to maintain a comfortable pregnancy, have an empowered birth experience and nurture their infant from an outlook of whole family wellness and proactively prepared care. Opened since 2012, Lactation Consultant and Doula ~ Yolanda (Shiphrah) Kadima continues to serve the community in various necessary facets.

Thank you to everyone that came out to our 2nd annual awareness fellowship 💜

We laughed, we cried, shared stories about Yolanda, watched a video of her work, and educated mamas on breastfeeding.

Everyone contributed to our alter and we lit candles in honor of her spirit ✨

Our 2nd annual Breastfeeding Fellowship is next weekend!!
We have partnered with .birth.sisters for our 2nd annual fellowship, to honor the legacy and work of Yolanda (Shiphrah) Kadima.

Mother (of seven), Lactation Consultant and Doula. Her mission was, "Rooting families one birth and breastfeeding experience at a time".

She aimed to provide education, support, and encouragement to families through breastfeeding classes, local breastfeeding groups, child birth education, birth and post partum care.

Two years ago, Yolanda transitioned earth side after experiencing c-section complications. Her family strives to continue her legacy and fight for Birth Justice within the Black community🧡

✨To honor her and her clients, there will be a candle lit vigil and presentation. Make sure you register via eventbrite!
