My home is my altar.

Definition: Rituals are a series of actions and practices filled with intention.

I always shied away from intentional rituals. At the time and knowing myself, I believed I wouldn’t be consistent and would end up disappointing myself.

I was overthinking it.

Truth was my lofty idea of what rituals were was the problem. The reality was I practiced intentional rituals every day. So much so they’d become a way of life:

For example, when I have a problem to work through, I clean. I don’t think about it, I automatically start doing it.

Once I realized this was the way my spirit helped me work through things, I became intentional about how I cleaned, my thoughts while cleaning, the music I listened to, the products I used.

Another ritual is making my bed every morning. I don’t feel as though my day can start without it. For some it’s that first cup of coffee.

My goal is to become ritual so that everything I do connect me with the Divine Mind.

Homemaking is the portal I use. Washing dishes, even laundry for example has become mindful and mindless.

Mindless because I move through my day without thinking about what needs to be done. And it all gets done, without the frazzle. My mind is freed up to think creatively.

I am at peace.

My home is my altar

Living ritualistically is no different than deciding to get fit and working out every day. At first it requires conscious intent. After a while, it’s effortless and the rewards are noticeable and fulfilling.

Since birth, you’ve attributed your experiences to what you perceive through the senses. You’ve learned to trust your senses in what you can taste, smell, touch, see, and hear. While sense perception is great in life experience, it limits you when it comes to expanding your spiritual awareness.

At one time, you had to count on your sense of and inner knowing. Before modern technology, we had to rely on signals from the environment and a more primal instinct to guide us. Just like birds can sense when a tsunami might hit, or squirrels know when it’s time to gather food for the winter, humans too have an intuitive sense. We’ve simply lost touch with it as well as our ability to trust in it.

You can use your inner sense to ask for to make the right decisions. Including your soul in the decision making process through , and . We used the to guide us with comfort or discomfort.

With your third eye you will pay attention to a hunch or subtle feelings (something told me to
). If you are conflicted, ask for your sense of intuition to be opened to you in order to help give your mind the clarity it needs to make the right choice.

A great Pranayama breathing technique is called Brahmari or the bee breath.

🔼Bring both hands to your face.
🔼Place the two middle fingers over your eyes. Allow the index fingers to rest on the eyebrow line and the pinky fingers under the cheekbones.
🔼Close your ears with your thumbs.
🔼Take a deep inhalation and exhale the word AUM with the emphasis on the “M” sound while creating a buzzing sound like a bee.

Do this for two minutes or more. You can alleviate tension in the head and this healing practice will work to open the sixth chakra.

The Chakra of the Month is the sixth chakra. Called Ajna Chakra, this energetic center is located at the third eye (between the eyebrows or in between and just above eye level). Ajna chakra is positioned above the throat chakra which balances emotion and reason. It sits below the seventh chakra, the Sahasrara or crown chakra, the center of thoughtfulness, enlightenment, and wisdom.
💎
The third-eye chakra is associated with higher knowledge, intuition, and what you might think of as your sixth sense.
💎
The third eye helps you perceive a cosmic vision beyond the physical world that your eyes can see. It connects you to your intuition and illuminates everything as it is without the filter of your past, your expectations, or your judgment. Ajna chakra is also linked to imagination, visualization and self-perception.“

“Most of your great Grandmothers were magical women. She had an altar, but she didn’t call it that. Back then it was called a ‘warrior prayer closet’. She didn’t call it Reiki, she called it ‘laying hands’. She did not have a potion, she just said ‘Drink this tea and you will feel better’. There is nothing new under the sun. So reclaim what she did with more information to guide your path.”

“The throat chakra uses the voice to turn the unseen into the material world. This is how we transmit our thoughts, feelings, instincts or intuitive knowing into reality. This is the profound significance of speaking your truth with integrity. Because when you speak it, the universe listens and reality responds accordingly. ⁣
⁣
This is not woo woo. The use of mantra & affirmation is a science. When we chant mantra, the sound waves stimulate the sella turcica on the sphenoid bone- the seat of the pituitary gland. The vibration stimulates the pituitary to release stimulating hormones that stimulate other endocrine glands of the body to release hormones that impact our emotional state. Sound impacts your hormones and affects wellbeing at every level- so how you use your voice has a potent influence on your internal & external reality. ⁣
⁣
Practically speaking, you can use your voice to manifest anything and everything you want in your life. It is that simple. Your throat chakra is your magic wand- but once you learn how to use it, it’s not really magic anymore- it’s just an incredible technology that you were born with. One of the keys to mastering this technology is to use your language with awareness & intention. You must use your voice to merge the future you want (vision, thoughts, feelings) with the present (biochemical climate of the body). Manifestation is the embodied result of your creative process so we use sound to get the endocrine system involved- this is integral to the embodiment. ⁣
⁣
Using language to bring the future into the present requires that the language be present tense, declarative & free of doubt. So start by removing “going to”, “trying to” ,“should”, etc.⁣⁣ from your vocabulary.⁣”

“What do you have to say?

Something, for sure. Whatever it is, opening your throat chakra (vishuddha) can help you get the word out.

The chakras are the seven wheels of energy in the body, starting from the crown of your head and down the body to the base of your spine. Chakras are commonly thought of as energy vortices—spiraling wheels of energy. When they are spinning properly, each chakra allows energy to flow and move freely so that you are moving in harmony and alignment. However, if one of these wheels becomes blocked or out of alignment with the others, your well-being can suffer. You may feel physically, mentally, or emotionally “off.”

The vishuddha or throat chakra acts as the body’s communication hub. It’s where you find your voice, speak your truth, and sing praises—for yourself and others.

This chakra is associated with speaking up and expressing yourself, but also with hearing and being heard.

Philosophically, the vishuddha chakra is associated with truth, clarity, and responsibility.
