A (belated) happy World Doula Week + (an even more belated) 2025 musings post 💕

🌎 World Doula Week really showed up energetically!
We had 3 babies in a week and these Aries babies were in a *hurry* to come earthside! Our Pisces babies were spicy too!

🌟‘25 we served ~50 families, so many repeat and 3-peat births, long term overnight contracts, tons of Comfort Measures Classes, countless Yoga, and periods of rest + recovery for us both.

🤰🏼So special to celebrate our sweet pea in her pregnancy - the first Doulas of ATL company baby!! (And she freakin’ ROCKED her birth beautifully this March 🥹)

💟 2026 is already proving to be such a rad year and we’re rejuvenated for more growth, community love, and raising up the Matriarchy in any way we can!

We 🤍 you and support you, fellow birth workers!
We cherish you sweet families we get to call our own! ✨

Meet our newest Postpartum Doula, Xuanqin Garrett💜💜

Hello, my name is Xuanqin Garrett, but everyone calls me Xuan!

My approach is rooted in the traditional Chinese practice of zuo yuezi — a postpartum confinement period focused on rest, healing, and nourishment — which I personally experienced and deeply benefited from. I integrate these time-honored methods with contemporary American postpartum care to support families holistically and naturally.

I specialize in supporting families who value natural healing, holistic balance, and compassionate guidance. Whether it’s through herbal meals, gentle massage, breastfeeding support, or simply being a calm presence, I am here to walk alongside you during this sacred time.

Outside of doula work, I find joy in nature and creativity. I love hiking, traveling, roasting coffee beans, cooking wholesome meals, and foraging for wild mushrooms. I believe that food and nature carry a healing energy that nurtures both body and spirit — a philosophy I bring into my postpartum care.

I look forward to meeting you and being part of your beautiful journey into parenthood.

Happy Valentine’s Day from your doulas 😘😘😘We love you!

As a reminder of where stands on a few things. We have always felt this way and incorporated this long held belief into our work. Birthwork is political, hard stop.

Dear Ones,
This first full moon of the year has your doulas in their feels + reflecting on a monumental 2024!
We are called to share our deepest gratitude alongside some magic + memories 💫

We served + held:
✨57 families company-wide
✨26 returning families
✨5 as 3-peat (all 3 babies with us!)
✨12 Comfort Measures Classes at our office
✨2 11lb babies!
✨We continued our education with ProDoula advanced labor certification
✨Courtney began her journey in certifying as a Lactation Consultant
✨Lauren hosted *countless* prenatal & postpartum yoga classes - with her magic “start labor in 2 days” prenatal flow & postpartum movement turned nursing circle

🏆 We had our *2️⃣0️⃣0️⃣th* birth with our beloved family - who we’ve had 2 boys & an extended postpartum care from !

🌟We successfully added a second birth team to our roster. Although it was short lived (due to exciting moves + opportunities for + ) we are looking forward to trying again in the future when the time is right.

✨To our families and friends who champion us to continue this sacred work: you are understanding of cancelled plans + provide a village of support to us so that we may support others.

✨ To our community of fellow birth workers + care providers: for continued inspiration, collaboration, and friendship. Community over competition, always 🫶

🤍 To our past, present, and future clients who invite us to walk alongside them on their journey to parenthood: we are consistently honored + excited to support you in birth + postpartum spaces.
You renew our love for birthwork daily 🤍
