Dear Ones,
This first full moon of the year has your doulas in their feels + reflecting on a monumental 2024!
We are called to share our deepest gratitude alongside some magic + memories 💫

We served + held:
✨57 families company-wide
✨26 returning families
✨5 as 3-peat (all 3 babies with us!)
✨12 Comfort Measures Classes at our office
✨2 11lb babies!
✨We continued our education with ProDoula advanced labor certification
✨Courtney began her journey in certifying as a Lactation Consultant
✨Lauren hosted *countless* prenatal & postpartum yoga classes - with her magic “start labor in 2 days” prenatal flow & postpartum movement turned nursing circle

🏆 We had our *2️⃣0️⃣0️⃣th* birth with our beloved family - who we’ve had 2 boys & an extended postpartum care from !

🌟We successfully added a second birth team to our roster. Although it was short lived (due to exciting moves + opportunities for + ) we are looking forward to trying again in the future when the time is right.

✨To our families and friends who champion us to continue this sacred work: you are understanding of cancelled plans + provide a village of support to us so that we may support others.

✨ To our community of fellow birth workers + care providers: for continued inspiration, collaboration, and friendship. Community over competition, always 🫶

We’ve got a few ABC births coming up soon and just love supporting our families here!

Here at Atlanta Birth Center, we know that deciding where to receive your prenatal care and give birth is a big decision. It takes time to read, research, and reflect.

As you gather information, sometimes the best next step is an in-person experience. The good news is that we offer tours at Atlanta Birth Center! You can come on the first or third Saturday of each month. It’s a wonderful opportunity to see our inviting space and meet some of our team members!

During the tour, you’ll get a peek at our prenatal rooms, birthing suites, family waiting area, and postpartum and lactation rooms. At our birth center, many families enjoy the feel of the home-like environment. The only way to truly understand this vibe is to join us for a tour!

✨Doulas of ATL started a blog! ✨

We’re starting out simple by explaining a bit more about what we do as doulas and the blog will continue to share our doula musings on the latest in evidence based care practices, all things birth + postpartum, birth culture in America, women’s health, and tips + tricks to reference during your journey to parenthood✨

Starting a blog has been on our to-do list under the column titled “Things we should do for the big bad capitalist machine” for a while now because it will apparently help more people find us when they search for doulas in Metro Atlanta. Yay for SEO!

Celebrating World Doula Week this year has looked like: a lot of admin work as we continue to grow our community, making dates with other birth workers to collaborate, and a gorgeous home birth while we wait for another mama (percolating as we speak)!

We are so grateful for our community, our mentors, and the loving birthing folks that invite us into their sacred space ✨
