As our name implies - we escort the Potentate at parades and other Shrine functions. All members of the Potentate's Escort Unit own and ride Arctic White Shrine Edition Harley-Davidson FLHTCUI (Ultra Classic Electra-Glide) motorcycles. The first edition of this model came out in 1995 and featured the Shrine 125th Anniversary Logo. These motorcycles all weigh in excess of 900 lbs. and it takes practice to maneuver safely in parade routines. For that reason alone, the unit holds several practice sessions for members to attend.
