Matthew & Nicole Murdaugh our Phoenix Legacy Awards Honorees!
Rooted in faith, service, and small-town values, Matthew and Nicole Murdaugh are a shining example of what it means to build a legacy that lasts.
From their hometown of Savanna, Oklahoma, where they raise their two sons on a small cattle ranch, to their leadership roles in education, ministry, and mentorship, the Murdaughs live out their calling every day.
🏈 Matthew, a teacher and multi-sport coach at Savanna High School, is the kind of leader young men remember for a lifetime. He’s not just coaching teams—he’s shaping character. As the author of The Path to Manhood, he’s poured his heart into guiding the next generation with wisdom, faith, and strength.
💪 Nicole, a former coach and founder of the Prison Legacy Foundation, is a powerhouse of purpose. She’s answering the call to serve those often forgotten, all while setting an incredible example for her sons by continuing her education in Environmental Health and Safety.
Together, they model what it means to show up—for family, for community, and for God. From cheering on their boys, Charlie and Nash, at every game to living out their values through service and sacrifice, Matthew and Nicole are building something that will outlast them—a legacy rooted in love, faith, and perseverance.
