Our Discovery Connections Columbus crew had a great night out at the Columbus Clingstones game this Friday! We just love their special bond.

Day One of the annual Discovery Leadership Retreat. We’re all feeling incredibly grateful after a powerful first day filled with insight and inspiration from Dr. Grant. He lives out our core values—leading from vulnerability, remaining a lifelong learner, and digging deep into theory with thoughtfulness and clarity. We can’t wait for what Day Two holds!

Dixie and Cassie are embodying one of Discovery’s three core values this week: Learning and Growth. In Atlanta this week at Theraplay Level One Training, they are learning all about child/caregiver attachment. In treatment, the Theraplay Practitioner guides the parent and child through playful, fun games, developmentally challenging activities, and tender, nurturing activities. The very act of engaging each other in this way helps the parent regulate the child’s behavior and communicate love, joy, and safety to the child. It helps the child feel secure, cared for, connected, and worthy. The four core concepts are:
*Structure
*Nurture
*Engagement
*Challenge
What a special week for these two as they learn and grow as therapists, AND are clearly having so much FUN!
