Depression can be challenging. It can make someone feel lonely, hopeless, and less interested in previously enjoyable activities. Depression can also cause people to isolate, oversleep, or change their eating habits.

Identifying the signs of depression, leaning on trusted loved ones, engaging in self-care, and talking to a therapist can help with managing depression.

Also, if you or someone you know is experiencing suicidal thoughts, please dial or text 9-8-8 for the National Su***de Hotline for 24/7 support.

While finals can be daunting, remember that you have worked hard this semester and the finish line is near!

To set yourself up for success, there are several tips you can use to help with finals: If you have access to the room in which you will be giving a presentation or taking a final, try practicing in that room to build comfort and confidence. Also, to avoid studying unneeded information, ask what information will be on the test, how many questions there will be & the types of questions that will be included. While it can be tempting to stay up late and cram, these methods are actually more harmful than helpful.

Lastly, when the exam begins, write down any information you think will be helpful; if you get stuck, take several deep breaths, skip the question(s), and come back at the end.

Remember to have confidence in yourself and your abilities - you got this!

Recognizing and coping with stress is important as too much stress can have negative health consequences on your body, mood, or behavior. Experiencing too much stress for too long can result in headaches, insomnia, over/undereating, lack of motivation, fatigue, etc.

To cope with stress, we can take breaks from the news, find a fun way to exercise, avoid substance use, build in time to relax and unwind, meditate, work on your breathing, or connect with others.

As the semester begins to wind down and summer is within reach, staying on task can be difficult!

Having good time management towards the end of the semester is an important factor in avoiding extraneous stress around tests, deadlines, and projects.

Making a list of the tasks that need to be completed and then listing them by priority status, can be a helpful way to get organized. After understanding your workload, you can create a more specific work schedule. Also, when working, try limiting distractions for yourself!

Remember that you are capable and have the ability to finish the semester strong!

Setting boundaries can seem daunting, but establishing boundaries with friends, family, peers, or partners, actually sets your relationships up for success!

If communicated clearly, each person in the relationship has an understanding of the other person's needs and expectations. Also, people who set appropriate boundaries find that they experience less anxiety and improved mood when interacting with others.

If you find yourself feeling frustrated or overwhelmed in certain relationships, try identifying what would improve the situation for you, think of your limits, and communicate the boundaries you want to set with a particular person or group.
