Dear Valued Patients,

In these uncertain times, we want you to know: we are here for you, and we are not going anywhere. Our commitment to providing compassionate, affirming care remains unwavering. The recent surge in registrations speaks to the deep need within our community, and we are honored to be a trusted resource for you.

Due to overwhelming interest, you may experience delays in our communications over the next few weeks. We ask for your patience and understanding as we work tirelessly to help as many people as possible, as quickly as we can.

It is easy to feel overwhelmed, but remember: human history is not only marked by challenges, but also by profound acts of compassion, courage, and kindness. What we choose to emphasize shapes our lives. When we focus on those moments where people have risen to meet hardship with grace, we find the strength to act. Each small step we take, no matter how modest, is a victory in itself and carries us forward.

Thank you for your patience and trust. Your resilience inspires us every day.

With hope and solidarity,
The QMed Team

Our Story

Affirming health care and hormone therapy for the Trans* community across the Southeast.

QMed aims to fill some of the major gaps in care for transgender and nonbinary patients of all ages. Dr. Izzy Lowell, a Family Medicine Physician based in Atlanta, started QMed to improve access to hormone therapy for trans* patients across the Southeast & in NY. Now located in Decatur, Georgia, QMed, we have grown to include two nurse practitioners, Michael “Luke” Lucas and Chris Turner.

There is especially low access to affirming health care for transgender kids and teens. QMed accepts patients of all ages and provides puberty blockers for those yet to enter puberty. Visit our website (www.queermed.com), email (info@queermed.com), or call (404-445-0350) to get started.

QMed welcomes gender expansive patients of all ages!
