Them nerves? That’s anxiety.

It’s a nervous system response—not a character flaw.

Therapy helps you understand what your body is communicating and how to respond with compassion instead of shame.

Ways to work with me—clearly and ethically

I offer:
• Perinatal mental health therapy (emotional + psychological support)
• Birth education & doula support (non-clinical)

I do not serve as both therapist and doula for the same client—because your care deserves clarity, safety, and ethical boundaries.

Why I created Birth Fear Free

I created Birth Fear Free because too many families are told fear is “just part of it.” Because anxiety is dismissed. Because emotional safety is treated as optional.

Birth deserves care that honors the mind, body, and spirit.

This space exists to offer education, emotional clarity, and support rooted in respect—not fear.

Therapist vs Doula: what’s the difference?

This matters.

🧠 A therapist supports emotional health, anxiety, trauma processing, and mental wellbeing.
🤲🏽 A doula provides physical, emotional, and informational support during pregnancy and birth.

Both are valuable.
Both are ethical when practiced clearly.
And both should never blur boundaries.

At Birth Fear Free, clarity = safety.

Can you want a calm birth and still feel anxious?

Absolutely.
These two things can exist at the same time.

Wanting a peaceful, empowered birth doesn’t mean fear won’t show up—it means you’re human. What matters most is how supported you feel when it does.

This is where therapy, birth education, and doula support each play different (but important) roles.

Pregnancy anxiety doesn’t feel like “normal nerves.”

If your fears feel constant, hard to calm, or show up in your body as tension, racing thoughts, or panic about birth—you’re not being dramatic. Pregnancy anxiety is real, and support can make a difference.

You deserve to feel emotionally supported during pregnancy, not told to “just relax.”

Follow for pregnancy anxiety support, perinatal mental health education, and calm birth preparation.

Birth fear isn’t just being nervous—it’s real.

Fear of childbirth (birth anxiety or tokophobia) can look like racing thoughts, physical tension, or avoiding birth conversations altogether. It’s often shaped by trauma, medical experiences, or stories we’ve absorbed over time.

You’re not weak—and you’re not alone.
With the right support, birth fear can soften.

Writing thank-you cards for my current HypnoBirthing class cohort feels so grounding. The past 5 weeks truly flew by🥹

In HypnoBirthing, we choose a birthing color intentionally—color supports the subconscious and becomes an anchor for calm and confidence in labor.

If you’re pregnant and craving a calm, low-fear birth, the next virtual HypnoBirthing class begins February 6 | 5:30–8pm EST 🤍
