💌Letter to Our Friends and Supporters💞
Dear friends,
There are days when sunlight pours through our windows and everything feels possible. And there are others when we sit quietly, reminding ourselves why we do what we do. On those days especially on those days; we keep going, guided by something greater than ourselves: love, and the hope of helping each person who comes to us finally feel at home.
Since the 1950s, when Lucy Brown opened the doors of Brown’s Rest Home, our story has been an act of faith in humanity. Lucy cared with tenderness, with her own hands, and without knowing it, she lit a flame that still burns today. Her daughter, Windy Lowe, carried that flame forward and turned it into a mission. In 2005, alongside her husband, First Sergeant (Ret.) Glenn Lowe, and their son, Alonzo Q. Ford, she founded Lowe’s Guardian Angel with one simple but powerful conviction: that care should be more than preserving life; it should be about celebrating the joy of living it.
We’re not perfect but we learn, and we try again; always with more tenderness.
We care about the little things: that a room feels like home, that a conversation carries warmth, that a smile is genuine.
And though the challenges can be great, we never stop believing in what we do: transforming 10,000 lives by creating homes where people live with dignity, joy, and purpose.
Thank you for walking with us, for believing in this dream that began with a brave woman and continues today in every guardian angel who is part of our family.
With love,
The Lowe’s Guardian Angel Family
