This was not a good weekend; anxiety, depression, and arthritis had me bound. After shedding some tears, eating some candy, and binge-watching TV from my couch, I realized I wasted an entire weekend of sunny weather. But I didn’t care. I guess sometimes you have to miss some sunshine to get your mind together.

It’s the holiday season, which doesn’t help at all. If you are out there missing family, how do you manage the loss for the holidays? Any special ideas? Or is it just me trying to deal with it?

Last week was exceptionally stressful, and my manager's words kept resonating with me: stress can manifest physically. Unfortunately, this proved true. I experienced significant anxiety the previous night, which led to a sleepless night filled with prayers. It turned out to be a panic attack, triggered by the cumulative stress of the week rather than any immediate threat. To my friends, I urge you to maintain a healthy perspective and avoid letting stress consume you. While others may be at peace, your well-being is paramount, and it is crucial to recognize that stressful situations, though challenging, can be resolved with your intelligence and resilience. Wishing you a peaceful Sunday

May divine strength and comfort envelop the Louisville UPS families and friends, who work at the ramp where the tragic UPS Flight 2976 occurred. May the departed souls soar in eternal peace and may love, hope and cherished memories forever uplift and sustain all those who are grieving 🙏🏻🖤🤎💛💜

As for me, this really hits home. I was diagnosed with panic disorder and anxiety disorder during my younger years while working in major conglomerates. I had coworkers who said I was faking it or just wanted attention. Some even thought it was a game — that how I felt wasn’t real.

I left jobs and was let go from others because of medication changes or the challenges of managing the disorder. It was one of the hardest times in my life.

I’m hoping for real change in how mental health is viewed in the workplace. Everyone deserves to be mentally stable and supported where they work. 💚

So I deal with night depression. Is that even a thing? When I’m at work, I’m fine—I’m thriving, focused, getting things done. But at night… I can’t sleep, my mind races, and I feel this wave of sadness that I just can’t shake. Is anyone else awake like me?

I researched “night depression” and it said it’s a real thing. Some people experience stronger depressive symptoms in the evening or at night, and it can be linked to stress, fatigue, or even our body’s natural rhythms. It makes you feel like you’re carrying a weight no one sees because by day, you’re “fine.”

I just want to know I’m not alone. 💛

Yesterday at the Office: A Mental Health Check-In

Yesterday was one of those days where I noticed my mental health triggers showing up at work. Certain interactions, unexpected stressors, and the fast pace of the office really tested my patience and focus. I took a step back, acknowledged how I was feeling, and reminded myself that it’s okay to have limits and set boundaries.

Mental health isn’t always visible, and it doesn’t always take a day off. Recognizing triggers is the first step toward managing them, whether it’s through breathing exercises, journaling, or simply asking for a moment to pause.

To anyone else feeling this way: you’re not alone. Take a moment to check in with yourself today you deserve it.
