As many of you have heard, Daniel Bennett has recently experienced a major health issue that has left him paralyzed from his waist down. Daniel was in the hospital for over a month and he is currently in a rehabilitation facility for a few weeks to learn how to manage everyday activities now without the use of his legs. It has been a trying time for us as we watched Daniel endure setback after setback, but he has made some significant improvements and now we are eagerly awaiting and preparing for his return home.
We are reaching out to our family and friends to ask for help in the next stage of Daniel’s life, we feel that the need is great enough to ask for help outside of the family as well. We need to purchase a wheelchair-accessible vehicle that will be used for Daniel’s transportation needs once he returns home. Daniel is 41 years old and has always been an active guy and although life will be different going forward, we are determined to support him and help him to live his life to the fullest.
I know this is a lot to ask for and the goal set is not a necessity to get him something (we just want to provide him with the best we can) as whatever amount reached can and will be used towards the best option we can find for him, whether we modify an existing vehicle or buy something professionally made, in the end we'll do what is needed for him. We know there are lots of options out there but we want to ensure what is used is reliable, comfortable and as easy for him to get in and out of as possible....as is life wasn't any different for him.
If you can donate (any amount) toward the cost of this purchase, we will be forever grateful. As with many things in this life, this was an unfortunate and unforeseen crisis that we were not prepared for. We could use your help if you feel led to donate. Every cent will be responsibly managed and used to help Daniel. We thank you in advance and know your help is greatly appreciated!
Thank you,
Daniel’s family and friends
