Pharmacists’ better access to the patients and their acceptability improve patient care by enabling pharmacists to play an even greater role in the provision of safe and effective unscheduled care, treating common clinical conditions and responding to emergency requests for medicines. Therefore, students who are interested in patient care practice as their future career, should develop a standardized approach to assessing, prioritizing, and resolving drug-related problems such as untreated conditions, appropriate drug selection, duplication of therapy, use of drugs without a condition or indication, over- or under-dosing, adverse effects or toxicity, allergic reactions, drug interactions, adherence, availability and access, cost, and outcomes expectations.

Various aspects of pharmacist-led patient care services are incorporated in a single book. Chapter outline, abbreviations, synopsis, learning outcomes, cases, key terms and further references are added like a textbook.

Just wanted to give a shout out to Georgia's pharmacists during the COVID-19 crisis - THANK YOU for all you do for your patients! In talking with several of you lately, you are facing fearful patients right now, and are often their first line of defense and comfort with their health and well-being. So, thank you for what you do!
Looking forward to tonight. We will be introducing PharmaCanna, LLC to over 50 Georgia Pharmacy Association (@gpgabuzz) pharmacists at the Region 2 meeting in Valdosta, Georgia.
Can you please notify pharmacists that it is not correct for veterinarians to have an NPI? In particular, an NPI is not required for a veterinarian to have a prescription filled. What is required is an active veterinary license in that state. Thank you.

The world’s platform for change

Hi all, just a brief update on our TRICARE Express Scripts Petition.

Today we put up a petition on Change.org that started to gain leverage in regard to the TRICARE Express Scripts Contract and it’s effects on patient care. It has come to our attention that at around 5 PM, it was removed from the Change.org website. We are working to resolve this issue and are not sure why it was removed. We will update you as soon as it’s resolved.

The world’s platform for change Change.org is the world’s largest petition platform, using technology to empower more than 200 million users to create the change they want to see.

Got an idea for a law?
We want to hear it!

It’s that time of year again. As we do every year, we ask GPhA members for their ideas on laws that need to be enacted or changed. And those member ideas get turned into results. GPhA has an unmatched proven record of legislative results:
2015 – MAC pricing; Vaccine protocol expansion
2016 – PDMP strengthened
2017 – Pharmacy Patient Protection Act; Medicaid audit protections
2018 – Expanding point of care testing authority
2019 – First in the nation PBM affiliated Pharmacy Anti-Steering
2020 – PBM Code update; first in the nation PBM surcharge; patient protections; Anti-Steering strengthened; Audit Bill of Rights strengthened; Medicaid carve out fiscal study funded and commissioned
2021 – Vaccine protocol expansion (all ACIP recommended on adult immunization schedule for ages 18 & older, vaccines related to public health emergency); tech expansion
We want to put your ideas into action.

If there’s a law or policy issue you want to see changed — something that will improve patient care or the practice of pharmacy — tell us about it!

E-mail a brief explanation of the issue to our VP of Public Policy, Melissa Reybold, at [email protected]. Yes, it’s that simple.

Deadline: Saturday, August 13, 2022, by 5:00 p.m.
