Why we exist
Austen was diagnosed with embryonal rhabdomyosarcoma in October 2017 at age 4 - a disease we never even knew existed. Overall, Austen has been very lucky as far as the intensity and length of her treatment protocol, and her prognosis is excellent. Far too many others with rhabdomyosarcoma are not as lucky.
We created Austen’s Army Foundation with the mission to promote general awareness of this disease and to raise funds specifically for rhabdomyosarcoma research. Our goal is to make this rare disease as well known as other childhood cancers and to substantially increase the annual funding it receives.
