Our Ocean theme kicked off with water tables, garden time, and so many smiles. Just because our kids are in ABA doesn’t mean they miss out on summer fun—because they’re kids first. And they deserve it all. 🩷

Appleseeds Behavioral Center was founded in 2013. When the doors first opened, most insurance plans in the state of Georgia did not cover ABA. Families were forced to pay out of pocket for services. Our mission was to provide high quality, affordable ABA services to the Autism community.
2015 changed everything when Ava’s Law passed! The bill was signed by Governor Nathan Deal in April 2015 and became effective July 1, 2015. Under Ava’s Law, insurance companies regulated by Georgia law were required to provide Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) for children diagnosed with Autism until the age of 7. Appleseeds moved from a 3000 sq ft facility to an 8000 sq ft facility to better serve the needs of families. Our team expanded services by adding an Early Intervention Clinic that provides therapy in a warm and friendly preschool-like setting. Discrete trial teaching is incorporated within the natural environment, so skills are mastered and generalize to real world environments.
Georgia has continued to support children with Autism. Effective January 1, 2018 the Department of Community Health added ABA coverage for individuals with ASD under the age of 21. This was an amazing step in the right direction for Georgia families that needed access to ABA! Appleseeds chose to expand to areas that had little to no access to ABA Therapy. Appleseeds opened a location in Rome, GA and Calhoun, GA in February 2018.
The best is yet to come for Georgia! Governor Deal has signed Senate Bill 118, which amends Ava's Law by increasing the limits on the coverage of Applied Behavior Analysis to individuals age twenty. SB 118 will go into effect on January 1, 2019.
Appleseeds has always been committed to meeting the needs of the Autism community in Georgia since 2013. Georgia is your home. Georgia is our home.
We are excited to announce that we will continue to open additional locations across Georgia. Our team is adding Speech and Occupational Therapists. We believe in treating children with Autism as a team, with combined ABA, OT, and SLP therapists all working together to provide the best outcomes for children with Autism.
