Day 17 of Black therapists I admire for . Shani Tran. Shani was the first therapist mutual I had on tiktok. Watching her following grow and the amazing content she shares truly inspires me daily to keep pushing. Thank you for all you’re doing in the therapy, creator, and equestrian (😂) space you’re doing.

Day 16 of Black therapists I admire for Eutoka Quillings-Bland. Eutoka has been a mentor, mom, sister, and best friend to me since 2017. Eutoka’s spirit and light are healing properties on their own and the gifts of intelligence and authenticity she brings to the mental health field truly can’t be duplicated. Thank you for all that you do Eutoka ♥️

I appreciate her building up other therapists to start their own practices along with the amazing work she does with her own clients and her group practice. Day 8 of Black therapists I admire for . Rhia Smith, LMSW. Rhia and I go all the way back to high school. Rhia is a fellow HBCU alum, Soror, and former hooper. The content she’s creating surrounding mental health, motherhood, and everyday life are awe-inspiring. I’m so happy to have you as a colleague in this field and can’t wait to see your channels blow up. 💗💚

Day 7 of Black therapists I admire for . Dr. Alicia Hodge. Dr. Hodge has helped me so much with anxiety and exposure therapy. She got me to just start with putting my name on my LCSW application and without her I may have still been sitting here associate licensed. I appreciate the initiative and for you being open and vulnerable about your own anxiety.

Day 6 of Black therapists I admire for . Shakenya Burch-Oliver. Shakenya has been an inspiration to me since we worked at a group practice together. Seeing her with her own group practice now and helping shape the therapists of tomorrow give me so much hope for our field. She is the embodiment of being the person you wish you had when you were younger and I can’t wait to see all that’s next for her while that PhD is being secured.

Day 4 of Black therapists I admire for . Dr. Tyneisha Douglas. Tyneisha has been holding me together since 2015. She was the first person I met my first day as a therapist and she’s been an amazing support since that day. I’ve seen her clinical skills first hand and know her clients are so lucky to have her. Ty, you are nothing short of amazing. Keep shining Dr. Douglas 💙

Day 3 of Black therapists I admire for . Nedra Glover Tawwab. I have followed Nedra for years and consumed so much of her content. I was so thrilled to see she was coming out with a book. Little did I know that book, Set Boundaries Find Peace, would be such a staple for me to recommend to my clients. Thank you for all the knowledge you bestow upon us and creating Black history on the regular.
