This past week, two of our Emory Orthopedic, Sports, and Spine Athletic Trainer’s had the opportunity to sit on the panel of the BOC Practice Analysis 9, taking a deep dive into the current state of the Athletic Training profession and where the profession is headed into the future! They were accompanied by our Assistant Director of Patient Care Services, Max Maxwell, who is a member of the Practice Analysis Task Force. Proud to have the future of the profession is such great hands!

Fall Sports have begun!! Earlier this month, we had the opportunity to review emergency sideline coverage with some of our fantastic Attending Physicians! Our ATC and PCSM Residents, along side our new Sports Medicine Fellows, got some hands on learning for spine boarding! Safe to say, we’re ready for Game Time!

Our last “Rehab and Return To Play” Case Study: Ankle Sprain, will feature Danielle Fitzgerald and Adrienne Henderson. This talk will answer every question on the injury accounting for a third of rehabs seen in female athletes!

Leah Todd and Kennedy Gray will lead our second Case Study of the Knee: Patellofemoral Syndrome.

This study will provide inside information on how to rehab from this injury and get back to play!
