Losing my grandmothers, and then the other, was very hard. My grandfather, became my buddy. He loved to laugh, smile, tell jokes and have a good time. My grandfather was diagnosed with Prostate Cancer yet lived to be 93. After his death, I wanted to honor him. In 2007 I came up with an idea to design a logo for Prostate Cancer. It’s a Light Blue neck tie and I had it registered under, Philip Thomas Leigh, to promote Prostate Cancer Awareness. Years later in 2018, while talking with my good friend, William Young about our passions in life, a fire was lite and I am now the CEO of the Philip Thomas Leigh Foundation. As I, Joseph Hall and my VP, Tania Copper, build this Foundation, our goal is to have the blue tie become as globally recognize as the pink ribbon. Prostate Cancer being deadlier in Men of Color. Black men are 28 to 56 percent more likely to develop preclinical or asymptomatic, Prostate Cancer than men of other races. Our goal is to get Men to get past the fear of going to the doctor… “You Can Sir, beat CANCER”, early detection is key, GET CHECKED!
