Pennebaker, NCC, LPC is an educator, counselor, mediator, author, lecturer and trainer who specializes in working with people and families who suffer from addictive disease. She also works with post traumatic stress disorders, anxiety disorders, depression, grief, marriage and family concerns and a number of other mental health issues. Ann began her career teaching adolescents with learning disabilities and behavior disorders, She has worked in the technical college/university system and directed a program of peer mediation in the secondary schools. Ann has worked in both men and women's correctional facilities and recognizes the extent to which addictive disease contributes to criminal behavior, incarceration, and destructive family dynamics. Ann has graduate degrees in special education and community counseling from the University of Louisiana@ Monroe, LA. She is a member of the Emmaus community.
