I have Yarrow in my garden. She is an herb of Venus and named for the great hero Achilles (achillea) and a thousand leaves (millefolium). Yarrow lives up to these legendary associations with its incredible scope of medicinal benefits. Magically, yarrow is used for courage, healing, and love.

While most of the flowers withered in the frost, Yarrow started blooming again. 💖

Yarrow is one of my major Guides and protectors.

Yarrow is also an incredible wound healer, of all kinds, and encourages us to heal the wounds caused by Patriarchy.

Final harvest before frost arrives

I always leave most of the Flowers so that the Pollinators have food for the cold days. This year I decided to harvest some of the Dahlias and Zinnias for a bouquet

I spotted this Bee sleeping under Zinnia. 💖

Flu/cold tea bombs all done and froze… ready for some Hot water when it’s needed. Here is the recipe I used. Didn’t know anyone would be interested in this so here it is
2 whole lemons (peeled)
Two big bunches of fresh ginger
One whole head of garlic
2tbls of turmeric
1 tble pepper
1 tble cinnamon
1 1/2 tble cayenne (but I love hot)
1/2 tble AVC
1 1/2 tble honey
3 cups of water
Blended in blender
Strained out
Side note next time I will use cheese cloth. I used a fine mesh sieve.
Stained into another dish then put in my silicone muffin dish and froze. About 1/8cup each in size. I did have some left so made a tea right then. It was pretty good and a bit spicy so keep that in mind with the cayenne amount. There was some “sediment “ left i in The bottom of the cup which is why I think a cheesecloth would be best.
There are some more exact recipes online… but I was going for a big batch to freeze

BROCCOLI HAM & CHEESE CRUSTLESS QUICHE (FRITTATA)
This crustless quiche is a delicious, low carb lunch or dinner. It's super easy to make, taking only 30 minutes before it's ready to pop into the oven. Serve as it is, with potatoes, crispy salad or stuff into rolls or wraps 🥦🥚🧀🥖🍖🥘

RECIPE:
Serves 4
Ingredients 🛒
Broccoli Florets, cut in half or quartered depending on size
200g/7oz Bone-in-Ham, chopped
1 Small Onion, sliced
100g/3.5oz Cheddar Cheese, shredded
8 Eggs
3/4 Cup Elmlea Double Cream (Heavy Cream)
1/4 Teaspoon Ground Nutmeg
Salt & Pepper

Method:
In a little olive oil and teaspoon butter cook the onion and broccoli. When the onions are softened, stir in the ham and remove from heat. Transfer 3/4 of the filling to a 28cm butter greased pie dish.
Beat the eggs, cream, nutmeg, salt and pepper together and stir in the cheddar cheese. Pour over the filling and with a fork just slightly move the veggies to make sure the egg mixture went through. Scatter the remaining broccoli, ham and onions on top and bake in oven 180C/350F for approximately 45 minutes to 1 hour or until set and slightly browned on top.
