Patient Convenience: Point-of-care dispensing increases patient convenience - A medication dispensed at the point of care means that the patient does not have to travel elsewhere to wait for medications at a pharmacy.

Affordability for Patients: In a cash dispensing scenario, most generic medications cost the patient no more than $15-$20 - which is similar or less than most insurance co-pays.
