Tokyo Marathon, no. 24 and World Major no.5 is done. Yeah!

It was a tough race. Conditions were warm and lots of sun. I did not love the course โ€” to be honest โ€” but the volunteers were amazing. Course was quite crowded for the duration, too. (And many out and backs that messed with your mind!) ๐Ÿ™ƒ

Ran 4:25:28 (4:20 is a BQ) - with second half about 90โ€ slower despite stomach cramps in the last 10K. I was glad to be done!! Almost cried at the finish. ๐Ÿคฃ

But had chance to celebrate with my new friends after, and even got โ€œinterviewedโ€ at a little soirรฉe. ๐Ÿ˜†

Now in Kyoto so rest assured more pix to come regarding that. ๐Ÿ˜œ

Have seen a good bit of Tokyo in the first two full days - note some of the pix!

Tomorrow to Shibuya and Team Labs and souvenir shopping as well.

Here with Triumph Sports Tour group and so far, so good! Very nice bunch of folks to see the sites with. ๐Ÿคฉ

Such fond memories of this marathon two years ago! So much so that I will be back next year! It was my first world major marathon and I believe my favorite.

Really enjoyed this morningโ€™s Wine and Dine 10K - I took it easy and PRโ€™ed in fun and character photos (those will come later ๐Ÿ˜‰).

Running HM tomorrow, so just interested in enjoying it at a somewhat party pace.

All the staff on course were so amazing. And the course was so fun, too. ๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿผ

The weather was tough, supposedly the hottest Berlin Marathon ever. And Iโ€™m sure I stopped smiling when I passed the camera! ๐Ÿ“ธ

Iโ€™m at airport to return home - but glad to have run the BMW Berlin Marathon, and traveled through Germany!

I may need some time off for a cranky hip situation, we shall see.
