I know that talking about hospice can feel scary, but I want to be honest with you — planning for care that honors your life and values isn’t giving up. It’s about making sure your wishes are heard, your comfort is prioritized, and your loved ones aren’t left guessing. I’ve seen so many people wait too long to ask questions because of fear, and I want to help you start this conversation today. Your life matters, and your care should reflect that. 💛
If you’ve ever wondered what hospice really means, or how it can support you and your family, this video is for you. Let’s break the stigma together and make sure every step of care feels compassionate and intentional.

Sometimes patients and family members don’t know how to speak up for themselves — and that can change everything.
Self-advocacy isn’t just confidence; it’s healthcare literacy in action.
When we learn to use our voice in real time, we create better health outcomes and move closer to true health equity.
Every voice deserves to be heard — especially yours.

Scientists have discovered over 200 unconscious biases that account for up to 90% of our decisions — even when we don’t realize it.
‘I can be hard and driving, and at the same time compassionate, loving, and soft. Those two things coexist in the same space.’
These conversations remind us that women leaders face unique challenges — yet also hold powerful opportunities to uplift each other, take more seats at the table, and grieve together when needed.

We talk about work. We talk about life. We talk about stress. But how often do we talk about our health—at the tables and bars where we gather every day? Real wellness happens in the conversations we least expect. Let’s start making health part of the dialogue, because we need each other to be well. 🗣️💬💡

There’s been talk that using Tylenol (acetaminophen) during pregnancy causes autism. But a huge study of 2.4+ million children found no link. No association with ADHD, intellectual disability, or autism was found in sibling studies either. Do your research. Ask your OB. Make informed decisions.

Life is rushing by faster than ever. I’m finding power in the pauses. In stillness, we hear what truly matters. 🌅
What is one small moment today where you can stop and just be?

Dr. Newman here, and today we’re busting the biggest menopause myths!

❌ Weight gain is NOT guaranteed.
❌ Hot flashes are NOT all day, every day.
❌ Your s*x life is NOT over.

The truth? With the right care, support, and perspective, you can thrive through menopause.

You got this, girl!

Let’s talk about something that could save your life: self-advocacy.

Here are 5 reasons why speaking up at your appointments matters—especially for vulnerable communities.

✅ You know yourself better than anyone
✅ Appointments are fast—be ready
✅ Bias is real. Don’t let it silence you
✅ Compassion fatigue affects care
✅ Your clarity prevents mistakes. You deserve care that sees you, hears you, and honors YOU.

🌟 Caesars Palace. Las Vegas. The stage was incredible — but my message mattered more.

At the Healthcare Advocate Summit, I spoke about Displaced Suffering: when healthcare systems and families unintentionally place their distress above what’s best for the patient.

To truly deliver patient-centered care, we must recognize our own biases, our emotional strain, and cultural patterns. One simple question can shift everything: “How can I help?”

Because hospitals can feel overwhelming. But when you self-advocate, you don’t just help yourself — you help providers uncover blind spots and build equity.
👉 Healthcare equity starts with YOU.

Every patient has a story. Every voice deserves to be heard.
Self-advocacy is the bridge to health equity — especially for vulnerable populations.
It helps healthcare workers see YOU, not stereotypes. And when care is tailored to the individual, outcomes improve for everyone. 💙
