Clarity is power—especially in healthcare.
At time, patients leave appointments with more questions than answers.
Confusion isn’t just frustrating—it can delay care, increase anxiety, and create avoidable complications.

Never settle for confusion. Ask. Pause. Repeat it back. Take notes. Always leave your appointment with your diagnosis, treatment and follow-up plan.

Because when you understand, you’re empowered to choose what’s best for you.

Too often, women—especially Black women—are told they’re overreacting, exaggerating, or imagining symptoms.
You are not overreacting. You are advocating for yourself.
Trust what you feel. Ask the hard questions. Push for answers.
And when it gets overwhelming, I’m here.

Some days, I still reach for the phone to call her. To share something funny, or ask a question only she would understand.
Grief doesn’t move in a straight line. It flows, lingers, and shows up quietly when you least expect it. But so does love.
My mother may no longer be here in the physical, but her wisdom, strength, and tenderness live on in everything I do. Especially in how I care for others.
To anyone navigating loss—you’re not alone.
