Ego is the thing that makes us mad.
It’s not the other person, not the thing, not the condition.
It’s our reaction to it.

Ego is the glass ceiling.
The driver of our emotions.
The avoider, the addict, the procrastinator.
Ego is the fearful one that won’t let us speak or move forward.
Ego is the troublemaker.

Yes, we fight with it. We try to power through it.

The mature response is to understand it,
to have compassion for it.
We need to earn its trust.
It’s a long haul.
But the benefits are peace and cooperation.

When we manage that major relationship,
we become better with others.
We begin to clean up the old mess we've inherited.

So what do we do with all that time and energy?

We create.
We play.
We finally get to do what we’ve been wanting to do.

The simplest way is to listen to that whisper inside.
Follow it.
Be kind to yourself and others.
Be gentle with yourself.
Be inspired.
Hang out with God and play.

Time Is So Made Up

No matter where or when...

Nature is the same,
Cells behave a certain way,
People are people,
Life changes,
We work,
We live our lives,
We relate and interact,
Cycles of every kind keep going,

No matter where or when.

Time is irrelevant to the universe,
Humans made it up - to measure, to meet. It is an agreement.
How unnatural are time zones and time changes?
Life does not care about time.

Lets give ourselves permission to experience the freedom of a timeless way of life.

When we meet strangers, we can offer them respect from the start.

When people are treated with respect, they often respond in kind. Some may even rise to the occasion and show you their best self.

Trust, on the other hand, is earned through honest conversations and shared experiences over time.

When we understand the distinction between respect and trust, our experiences with new people become richer and more meaningful.

Our brain is incredibly active and protective of our pain.
It believes it can think its way out of suffering - that if it could just prove its value to the world, we wouldn't feel so bad inside.

We become so fixated on this mission that we don’t realize it’s not working.

Most of our problems are actually emotional responses to life’s challenges, shaped by past wounds.

When we begin to heal those wounds, we respond to life in healthier ways.
With a balanced relationship to life’s ups and downs, our quality of life improves.
We’re able to enjoy the journey and share our unique gifts with others.

Think of blame as a part of your personality: a character on your inner stage, entertaining your mind all day.

How long will we let it drain our energy and hold us back?

It’s self-induced, hidden beneath excuses. Underneath it all lies an unhealed wound.

Blame works against us, but it's so loud and persuasive that we often don’t realize we’re being manipulated by our own creation.

We are in the midst of an evolutionary process. As we’re called to mature, we need support—someone to model the behavior, someone to nurture us through the process, even a reassuring pat on the back when we get it wrong. With those things, we can make it through. Without them, we struggle to grow.

But how do we grow when that natural support is missing?

How do we ask for help when we don’t even know it’s possible?
