Our integrated wellness sessions are literally hand-crafted to fit your health and wellness needs. Unlike other forms of massage, active client involvement, by pressing against resistance or making small guided movements, is utilized to tone weak muscles and stretch tight muscles, creating new muscle memory that will help promote better alignment, posture, and thus longer-lasting pain relief.

Hamstrings ALWAYS tight!?!
It may actually be a sign of weakness! A big clue is if you spend a lot of time stretching them only to get tight again soon after. Adding a simple daily exercise can convince the brain that your muscles are strong enough to support the joint through greater ranges of motion, thereby increasing flexibility.

💡 Pro tip: Don’t stretch it, Strengthen it! Use eccentric and concentric exercises for hamstring muscles and you'll see faster, longer lasting results.

🧘‍♀️ Try this:
Grab a PKT door anchor and secure it into your door. Loop a green level 2 band onto that and lay on your back with your head facing the door, feet pointing away. Connect the other end of the level 2 loop around your foot and scoot far enough away from the door so that when you straighten out your leg and press down to the floor it's a good challenge. Then slowly raise your leg up as high as comfortable (eccentric load) and as soon as you get to the top, start pressing back down to the floor (concentric load). Keep the leg straight. You may start out shaky or jerky with this movement but by the third time, you should notice a great increase not only in range of motion, but also in fluidity.

Did you know that 80% of New Year’s Resolutions are abandoned by the end of February? With half the year over, and school right around the corner, now is a good time to reevaluate. I would like to encourage you to set monthly goals, instead of yearly ones. Looking at something for 30 days, as opposed to 365, is much more manageable and much less overwhelming. So, let’s join together this month, and every month, to make small changes that we will actually stick with! Leave a comment on what you’re committing to in the month of August to inspire those around you and help keep you accountable!
