I am a board certified dance movement therapist and state licensed professional clinical counselor with 10 years experience working at the California Department of State Hospitals. Previously, I have worked with children diagnosed with autism, ADHD and learning challenges, adolescents with behavioral and impulse control issues, and adults with acute inpatient psychiatric needs in medical and forensic facilities. I have employed dance movement therapy techniques such as creative choreography for health, effort modulation for chronic pain, and DBT relaxation/mindfulness techniques for individuals with personality disorders, PTSD and ADHD. My focus of specialization involves the use of dance movement therapy treatment interventions for learning disabilities, impulse control disorders, trauma, and abuse, mood disorders, personality disorders, trauma and chronic pain. Such techniques include play and expressive choreography, coaching developmental re-patterning exercises, and teaching mindfulness/relaxation techniques for body awareness and emotional regulation. I see clients in a clean studio space with no pets for comfort, safety and complete privacy.

I have come to the conclusion that human beings are born with an innate capacity to triumph over trauma. I believe not only that trauma is curable, but that the healing process can be a catalyst for profound awakening—a portal opening to emotional and genuine spiritual transformation.
I have little doubt that as individuals, families, communities, and even nations, we have the capacity to learn how to heal and prevent much of the damage done by trauma. In so doing, we will significantly increase our ability to achieve both our individual and collective dreams.

I am making a home inside myself.
A shelter of kindness where everything is forgiven, everything allowed—a quiet patch of sunlight to stretch out without hurry,
where all that has been banished
and buried is welcomed, spoken, listened to—released.

A fiercely friendly place I can claim as my very own.
I am throwing arms open
to the whole of myself—especially the fearful,
fault-finding, falling apart, unfinished parts, knowing
every seed and w**d, every drop of rain, has made the soil richer.

I will light a candle, pour a hot cup of tea, gather
around the warmth of my own blazing fire. I will howl
if I want to, knowing this flame can burn through
any perceived problem, any prescribed perfectionism,
any lying limitation, every heavy thing.

I am making a home inside myself
where grace blooms in grand and glorious
abundance, a shelter of kindness that grows
all the truest things.

I whisper hallelujah to the friendly sky.
Watch now as I burst into blossom.

make peace
with all the women
you once were.

lay flowers
at their feet.

offer them incense
and honey
and forgiveness.

honor them
and give them
your silence.

listen.

bless them
and let them be.

for they are the bones
of the temple
you sit in now.

for they are
the rivers
of wisdom
leading you toward
the sea.

One of the most beautiful things to watch is someone figuring out their magnificence.
Someone starting to fall in love with who they've always been, but haven't truly tapped into until now.
