Are you really surprised? 😳 Not me. After nurses were turned every which way but loose during the pandemic, then treated like the not so disposable PPE (joking) once the crisis ended, I knew then that some individuals and parties could care less about the profession as a whole.

The truth is, the nursing profession is here to stay. I know it isn’t going anywhere. You know it isn’t going anywhere. Advanced Practice Nurses, and those with Doctoral/PhD-level nursing credentials, are firmly established. The healthcare system would crumble without them.

So, is it an insult to us? Yes. Will it stop us? No. Will it be tougher? Possibly. But will we give up? Never.

Now, more than ever, it’s time to leverage our nursing licenses, regardless of degree level. I say it all the time… Your Nursing Licence Is Your SuperPoWeR, Use it Intentionally!!

Being a nurse entrepreneur isn’t for the weak. Without a system that works for you, burnout is all but inevitable. Balance isn’t a luxury—it’s a necessity. It’s about pacing yourself, prioritizing what truly matters, and building sustainable routines that support physical and mental health, family, and business growth.

Balance isn’t a one-time fix—it’s a continual practice. When you implement a system that supports balance, you’re not just surviving; you’re building a resilient, thriving nurse-led enterprise.

In my practice, self-care is a foundational piece of my routines. It sits at the heart of my systems, providing balance.
