During a good rain is the best time to evaluate the drainage around your property and see water moving in real time.

Come play in the rain with me and improve the drainage around your house! You dont need to be a professional for this!

I learned this from my dad, who used a tractor and a rake to turn a south Texas swamp into a homesite that drains perfectly, and no, he didnt haul in any dirt to raise it.

Bulk water is one of the ways moisture can enter your home, and one of the easiest to avoid!

No moisture, no mold!

In theory: Drying carpet in places is acceptable
In real homes: Im seeing mold tack strips, moldy padding, moldy subfloor.

Contractors make their best money from insurance by drying in place. 😑

Whose best interest is in mind in this situation?
Would you allow your carpet to be dried in place?

Turns out even your mold assessor can be breathing attic air. I knew there was a high possibility this was true, and I've often seen Jessie alerting to all the outlets in a home, now im understanding more and more about what's causing it and how to test!

Don't come after me about my backsplash. Yes I need to pick out something, no I haven't done it yet. Remediation was a priority, rebuild has not been 😅

Added a smoke pen to my tool bag!
