Act of Kindness: Refuel Our Healthcare Heroes

Hello! I just wanted to provide you with an update.. we originally capped Act of Kindness fundraiser back in late February. However, we have had further donations come in and Angelos pizzeria gave back funds! We were able to then provide 15 more healthcare workers at the Cayuga County Health department with a wonderful lunch from Pure Market! We will also be providing gift cards from Simple Roast to 50 other Healthcare workers at the Auburn Community Hospital! Again, just a shout out again to Luke from Provisions by Pure (Pure Market)for assisting me with last minute requests and Angelos, Matt Bartolotta, with his generosity of funds given back to the fundraiser !

I just wanted to take the time to say thank you again to all of you who donated to the Act of Kindness fundraiser! Because of all of you, we were able to give back to approximately 600 local healthcare heroes to show how much we appreciate them. As a registered nurse who volunteered last year in NYC-Brooklyn during the peak of the outbreak, I had only a two week glimpse into what their everyday life has been since COVID took over our country and our community. I have the upmost respect for all of the frontline workers who continue to stay strong and grind through everyday.

Thanks again to the three restaurants, Angelo's Pizza, Matt Bartolotta, Provisions by Pure, Luke Houghton, and Octane Social House, who were kind enough to accept the invitation to work with me, accepted the community donations and made the time to provide meals to our local healthcare heroes!

Good morning! Just wanted to provide and update. We were able to provide meals to approximately 575 healthcare workers over 8 local facilities! It was an amazing week thanks to Octane Social House, Angelos Pizza and Provisions by Pure and to all of you that donated to the fundraiser. It was appreciated by all! We have a little left over so we plan on covering the vaccine clinic next week!

Today we delivered breakfast and dinner ( 1st and 2nd shift)to Fingerlakes Center for Living (FCFL) ,providing meals for 100 healthcare workers.. Shout out to Octane Social House for providing their famous homemade biscuit and egg sandwiches with yogurt parfaits and Pure Market and Eatery for providing their delcicious grain bowls ❤️ Octane Social HouseProvisions by Pure. 3rd shift will be provided by Angelos pizza later this evening !🔥

I had the pleasure of delivering 60 meals to the Auburn Rehabilitation and Nursing Center today provided by the Octane Social House! They received homemade biscuit breakfast sandwiches, homemade yogurt parfaits with granola with an additional $5.00 gift card! ❤️Octane Social House

Today was our first meal delivery of the meal train! Octane Social House provided 100 meals today to four COVID unit floors at ACH for our healthcare heroes along with an additional gift certificate. It was a very exciting morning that brought me to tears. I am so glad that we all made this work! Four more days of delivering to go!❤️

Good morning! Because of all of your generous donations, we will be able to provide meals to eight healthcare facilities! This includes four COVID floors at ACH, three assisted living facilities and four urgent care facilities! We will begin our meal train distribution Monday February 1 and run through Friday February 5. I will be posting updates throughout the week to show off the efforts of our local restaurants. Thanks again to everyone to made this fundraiser a success. It is so nice to see the amount of people that believe in a simple Act of Kindness for others to show we care and appreciate everything they have done.

Good morning my Facebook friends! We are almost at 90% of our goal! We are just so close! As noted in earlier posts, I have met with the restaurants and they are getting menus ready for delivery the week of February 1st! If you haven't already, please take a look below and see what the meaning is behind this fundraiser. The last day of the fundraiser will be January 27th!
Lastly, I am truly thankful to live in such a caring, supportive community. The meaningful letters I have received with donations has been truly inspiring.
