Teaching Kids to Talk

Opportunities to teach kids to communicate are endless! Whether waking them up, eating together, playing, or laying down after a memory-filled day, there are so many moments to fill with interaction. Match the child’s level and then add one more complexity such as a descriptive word or a action word. Sing, play, and be silly. Children need to hear words several times before they are able to speak them, so modeling language is important!
