Sometimes the simplest things hold the deepest wisdom.
This autumn, I learned mine among the pumpkins. 🎃

What started as a whim …a few weeks working at the local patch … became a quiet lesson in purpose, nourishment, and how nothing in nature is ever wasted.

It turns out, every pumpkin has a purpose.
Some for pies, some for soups, some simply to return to the earth. All part of the same cycle of giving and return.

The honeybee never rushes the bloom.
It waits for the nectar to sweeten, for the air to warm, for the right moment to arrive.

There’s wisdom in that waiting … a trust in timing that the rest of us often forget.
The bee knows that nourishment can’t be forced, only received when the world is ready to give it.

This week in the Grove we’re remembering that same truth:
that sometimes doing nothing is its own kind of tending.
That the nectar, like rest, gathers strength in stillness.
