Prayers For Kirby

Prayers For Kirby Questions and words of support for Kirby as he recovers from his brain aneurysm. He had a ruptured aneurysm on Tuesday, May 3, 2011. He is now in recovery.

I created this page so I can update friends and family on my dads progress as he recovers from a ruptured brain aneurysm. He is currently in treatment at the Neuro Special Care Unit of Maine Medical Center in Portland, Maine. On Wednesday, May 4 he had a procedure done called coiling, where they placed coils into the aneurysm to cause clotting. It is going to be a long road ahead but all your thoughts and prayers will help us through this process. On August 8, 2011 Kirby was moved to RiverRidge Center; 3 Brazier Lane; Kennebunk, ME 04043 Telephone # (207)985-3030 He is in the Mousam River Unit.

Hi everyone, Ashlee here! My dad is not doing well. He is sleeping a majority of the time, And his vitals are very low. I have made an emergency trip to Maine. The nursing home is closed to visitors, but they have moved dad to a room for Faith and I to go in and visit with him for a short time. We are going tomorrow at 10AM. Please post something here if there is something you would like us to tell him on your behalf. I hope everyone is staying well. ❤

Hello Everyone, Ashlee here. There has been a major change in my dad's health recently. After the suggestion of his doctor, we have decided to put dad in the hospice program. He has been having issues swallowing, which stems from his brain injury. Because of that he has lost a significant amount of weight. I will give more updates as we know more.

Of those of you that went to visit dad in Kennebunk I'm sure you remember his friend/room mate Chris Jolly. Chris was a great friend to dad while he was there and we all enjoyed seeing him as well, he would let us know how dad was doing often more so than the nurses. Today my mom picked up a letter for dad from Chris. I thought I would share it. It makes me really happy that he made a friend even in that situation.
