When I said this place was magic… this is exactly what I meant. 💚
We’re finally home, and today we received the full Seacrest Studios broadcast of Miles’ Boys Hip Hop performance — the one they aired across the entire hospital so he could be part of it.

Watching it now, from home, makes me even more grateful for ALL the people who made that moment possible. 🥰

Hey friends! Did you know you can send a free Cheer Card to any kid at Children’s Hospital Colorado? 💌

I get new cards every week — from my friends, my class, and awesome people all over — and they make me so happy! I hang them on my door so I can see them every day.

Children’s Hospital Colorado makes it so easy to send a free message of encouragement to any patient — and those little notes mean the world. If you don’t know anyone in the hospital right now, but want to brighten a child’s day, simply write “A Special Patient” in the patient name field. The volunteers will deliver your card to one of the kids in the hospital.

Ravioli goes to all of Miles’ therapies with him — except when it’s trike time. For those 45 minutes, he stays in the room with me, laying by the door pouting and waiting for Miles to come back… or for a nurse to walk by and offer some belly rubs (because off-duty means pet time!).
Also, check out how Miles decorated his door with pictures of black labs, raviolis, and even the cats at the bottom 10/10 interior design! 😂

The power of a few kind words. 💚 Miles’ door is now completely covered in cards from family, friends, classmates, and so many others cheering him on.

He looks at them every day — sometimes smiles, sometimes tears — but always with gratitude. Thank you for filling this hospital room with so much love and light. 💚

Big milestone day! 🎉 Miles moved up to the therapy floor (10th!), started PT, and sat up for nearly an hour! 💪

He even made it outside for a little sunshine with Ravioli and got some love from Grandma and Grandpa too. ☀️🐾💚

🐾 Even superheroes need a little playtime! Ravioli has been working so hard taking care of Miles during his time in the hospital, but we’re making sure he gets plenty of exercise breaks and finds his own routine here too. 💚

Yesterday was a big day — Braxton’s birthday! 🎉 Miles had been counting down and telling everyone on his care team all about it. He was so excited to see his brothers!

Unfortunately, it ended up being a really rough day, and he spent most of it sleeping — he was so disappointed to miss out on the time with them. 💔

But today, he bounced back! 💪 He got dressed, got in his wheelchair, and even took a trip to the PT gym to check it out before starting therapy tomorrow. He wrapped up the day with a few rounds of fetch with Ravioli — and that smile says it all. 🐾💚

We’ve gotten lots of questions about Miles’ surgery — it’s called Selective Dorsal Rhizotomy (SDR). It’s a big step for him, but one that gives kids with CP the chance for more comfort and independence. 💚
