Exciting News!

I’m thrilled to share that my dissertation, A Grounded Theory Study: What Clinical Directors Who Teach in CACREP-Accredited Counseling Programs Recommend for Counselors-in-Training Seeking Supervision, has been officially published on ProQuest!

This research not only explores what clinical directors recommend for counselors-in-training seeking supervision but also delves into the potential harm that can occur in ineffective or harmful supervisory relationships. My goal is to help future counselors make informed, safer choices when selecting a supervisor—because quality supervision is crucial for both professional development and client care.

It can be difficult to face the pain you have caused to yourself and to others, but it necessary for growth. Denial is a locked box. No growth and change can happen there. Reach out to a therapist and start your journey.

Another year is coming to an end and so, of course, we had to gather and eat about it! This year we gathered some of our amazing teammates that have already gone on to full licensure and are crushing it out in the world, and some of our current Interns that are still on the path to LPC. Just a heads up if you have a hidden cell phone for DV purposes, on October 4th at 2:20 pm EST FEMA is testing the National text alert system. This one is supposed to override sound systems regardless of your settings. The only way to avoid it is if the phone is turned off. So if you have a second/hidden phone for safety purposes, please know it will make a sound on October 4th. (And be in a safe place once you turn it on because it will alert then.)

2️⃣ Getting enough sleep? Rest matters. 😴
3️⃣ Eating well? Nourish the mind too. 🍎
4️⃣ Seeking joy in activities? Self-care counts. 🎨
5️⃣ Reaching out for support? Connection matters. 🤝
6️⃣ Being kind to myself? Self-compassion is key. 💖

Remember, taking care of our mental health is essential. Let's prioritize our well-being and practice self-care. 🌈💪
