Fridays got us feeling like… 😂 Our doc loves Coke Zero BUT soda does contain sugar and acidic substances that can harm your teeth. Brushing your teeth after consuming soda helps remove any residual sugar and acid, reducing the chances of tooth decay and enamel erosion.
However, it’s essential to wait at least 30 minutes after consuming soda before brushing, as the acids can soften the enamel temporarily, and immediate brushing may cause further damage.
Instead, rinsing your mouth with water after drinking soda can be a good interim step to help neutralize the acidity! Crack open a cold one and enjoy your weekend 😁🥤
