We begin to shift our focus completely on others, place our own well-being on a permanent hold and our lives begin to suffer due to no self-care. I’ve always been told that what is in my cup is for me, but what spills over is for everyone else. I catch myself sharing the contents and that which spills over. Through my life I’m learning to leave what’s in the cup for myself and not allow it to become so drained that there’s nothing left but dried residue that can barely be scraped. My prayer is that my book gives you some light on your journey that at times becomes dark from the distractions that keep us distracted." Psalm 119:105 (NIV)
