Here’s what changed everything for me ⤵️

A while ago, I couldn’t understand why I looked soft, inflamed, and bloated even though I was eating “healthy.”

I was doing everything “right”:
✓ clean meals
✓ exercising
✓ barely any snacking
✓ hitting my protein

…but my body wasn’t responding

and that disconnect messes with you when you’re disciplined like me.

Here’s the truth most women never hear:

You can eat “clean” and still be misaligned.

The problem usually isn’t food quality

it’s physiology.

So here’s what I did ⬇️

Step 1) I stopped under-fueling a stressed body

Eating less didn’t make me leaner.
It made my body defensive.

Once I fueled to support my metabolism, digestion and energy stabilized.

Step 2) I stopped fearing carbs and started using them strategically

Carbs helped regulate cortisol and training output.
My stomach actually looked tighter — not puffier.
My muscles filled out and I had energy again.

Step 3) I trained for muscle, not punishment

When you lift with intention:
✓ inflammation drops
✓ body composition shifts
✓ “puffiness” fades

Step 4) I aligned protein + meals with my physiology

Protein at every meal = calmer hunger, steadier energy, better digestion.

Step 5) I stopped trying to fix a stressed body with more discipline

Your body won’t respond when it’s under-fueled, inflamed, and overwhelmed.

This isn’t a motivation problem.
It’s a precision problem.

It’s wild how, as type A women, we rarely stop to be proud of ourselves.

But looking back… this was insane in the best way.

I manufactured my own protein right out of college. I invested $75k on myself. I was completely delusional in the best (and maybe worst) ways.

I built a CPG brand in a category where most never become profitable with zero experience.

And somehow… we did it. Together.

How cool is that?!

CorePerform only existed because you needed a solution to the garbage plant proteins on the market.

You asked for something cleaner, safer, easier on the gut and I built it for you.

You showed up. You supported. You shared. You kept this thing alive for 5 years.

I’m so grateful. Truly.

Last post went viral & made ppl mad 🤭 let me explain…

❌30 kcals/kg of fat free mass is considered LOW energy availability
⛔35-45 kcals/kg of FFM is maintenance
✅45 kcals/kg is considered optimal for active females and hormone health

If you sat in bed and walked around, your needs would probably be around 1800-2100 (ages 19-50)

If you go to the gym 3-5x/week, your needs would be 2300+ for maintenance

Our body has an adaptive ability - it can go 500-700 kcals in either calorie direction and not change weight. (Some people are genetically better or worse at this)

When I work with people, they typically lose 1-10lbs (of water & inflammation) within the first week because of our tailored approach (you can check the pinned post in my profile for our method).

Once they lose the inflammation, muscle building and fat loss happens much easier. In fact, we’re usually able to get them eating 200-500 kcals more at maintenance.
