An herbalist is someone who lives at the edge between the world of people and the world of the plants. We are stewards of the medicinal plants, of the natural world, and of the Earth herself. Herbalists connect people with plants so that they may partner with them on a healing journey. Herbalists also train others who wish to learn this sacred craft. It is our sacred joy and honor to do the work we do. The path of the herbalist is, ultimately, a sacred journey.

Sacred Journey School of Herbalism reflects Ginger Webb’s deep love for the plants and for humanity; her study with the late great herbalist Michael Moore; her years of experience making plant-based medicines; her explorations of east Indian philosophies including Ayurveda, and the chakra system; her geeky passion for botany, wild plants, and plant families; her reverence for the wisdom of the ancients; and her belief that we all have access to the healing wisdom of the plant world simply by virtue of the fact that we are alive and share consciousness with all life.

We have been taking the past few days to create a raffle donation to collectively raise funds for the NNAF (National Network of Abortion Funds). As an organization, we will always stand for what we believe in, and in this case - we stand with those who want and need to exercise the right to seek and have an abortion.

Everything counts when it comes to helping out! We will be collecting donations for a week from today, and our collective businesses will be donating a bundle of their choice to select winners for helping us pool together the donation.

making an accord to use in blends

We just got back from Arkansas, and it was so fun! Never been before but I’ve always wanted to go.
We went to find crystals especially for our upcoming limited edition holiday gift boxes. (Keep your eyes out for those!)
While we went to a couple of active crystal mines open to public and the Crater of Diamonds state park, we found best stuff for free up at Crystal Vista.

I also gathered a small amount of sweet gum resin for a perfume, we hiked Ouchita National park which was gorgeous, and had a traditional hydrotherapy experience on Bathhouse Row at the Buckstaff Bathhouse in Hot Springs.

We also stayed at a 100 year old historic hotel called the Arlington, which was perfect. 😃
I love checking out architecture and historical spots, and this one delivered. They have the untreated hot spring mineral water pumped directly up to the specific room we stayed in.

The waters of the area have been well known as a panacea for hundreds of years, and there was even a bustling hydrotherapy industry there until the 60’s.

Babe Ruth, Al Capone, presidents and lots of famous people have all stayed there. We even got to check out their fav rooms.
The whole place was definitely old school and amazing. We’re already planning to head back up there, was exactly what we needed. So restorative (and productive) Glad we both love this stuff so much, we make a good team.
Next week, heading back to Colorado for more special items and a lil fun before we do a bunch of pop ups!
